Very Comfortable but Poor Quality
These fit very comfortably on me, but within my first hour of wearing them the stitching was already coming undone. When I pay $74 for shorts, I expect them to not only be very comfortable, but I expect they will at the least be able to handle the non-rigorous lounging that I am using them for. I have had this issue as well with the Vuori sweatpants so this does not seem to be a one-off thing.
Love this short
These shorts are quite comfortable. And I would wear them all day. And loved the color too.
Yoga shorts
Just a little background. I’m 5’09” and 205 lbs. I’ve been training and running trail half marathons of late. Even though I wear a size large in the rip stop pants, I tried these on and the size medium works just fine. I never knew how hard it would be to find a pair of athletic shorts that stop at the top of my knees and don’t have a liner. I choose these because of the incredible softness and the flexibility of the material. I’ve only had these a short time so I can’t speak to it’s longevity but I’m hoping they stand up. The long pants version of these are billed as the first male version of yoga pants. Yep, true. They seem to work just like that, well, except shorts.
Ridiculously comfortable
This is the softest, most comfortable material I've ever worn. The shorts fit well -- 7.5 inseam looks flattering especially if you have "athletic" quads, not too baggy, not too tight. And some cool colors -- I went with black camo since it stands out just a bit from the typical flat colors you see in comparable clothing, but not in a flashy way. It's very stretchy and free-flowing, so you might want to wear briefs underneath if you're going to be doing say a seated leg press at the gym, to cover up down there. Also the two pockets in front are hilariously springy, for example plopping an iPhone in one will bounce around like a yoyo against your leg. I can see myself using only the back pocket for carrying keys/phone etc.
Awful craftsmanship
I love Vuori products but their shorts have bitten me twice. This last pair I purchased was exactly as described, soft, comfy, flexible, all the best. Then I washed them, omg. The waistband stitching was hanging from the shorts, I had to cut it off and it continued to run around the waist until there was nothing left. The waist band imploded like one of those awful frumpy 80’s prom dress waistbands. This is not the first time this has happened. I ordered another pair of Vuori shorts and the same thing on the first wash, bam. These are like $70 shorts!!! Not some Walmart $10 future car wash rags. This company is seriously flawed in their craftsmanship. You’re paying for Lulelemon and getting last years Walmart discontinued shorts brand. Never again.
Great Shorts
These are the best workout shorts I own. The fabric is incredibly soft with the perfect amount of stretch, which makes them great for everything from lounging to working out. They have also been very durable -- I've owned them for almost 6 months and they've held up great through wear and washing. They still look like new. I'm 6'0 and 180 with size 33 waist, and the large fits me perfectly.
The Most Comfortable Pair of Shorts You Will Own!
This is my second pair of these shorts, as I have worn out my previous pair purchased two years ago, The tag on the first pair claimed that these would be the “most comfortable shorts you have ever purchased” and that they would become my favorite shorts. Absolutely true on both counts! I wear these for hiking and casual events, and they are always my first choice. Highly recommended! Size is true to listing.
Great feeling shorts but poor quality control
My wife and I have about ten Vuori items from REI, and overall they have been great. But recently I used these shorts and the back zipper stuck. I had my house keys in the pocket and thus tried to pull open the zipper while wearing said shorts. The shorts subsequently ripped and I couldn't get the zipper open, even after taking the shorts off. I had to cut out my keys from the inside of the pocket. I'm disappointed that a $75 pair of shorts would do this. The material is soft and comfortable. But as a result I think it's not as durable as they could be. These same shorts developed a small hole on the leg from normal use as well. My other pair of shorts, which I've had for a least twice as long, have survived much worse. Maybe it's just a fluke? Anyway, I've emailed the support with Vuori and hope they resolve the issue.
Awesomely comfy
These shorts are super comfy to wear out day hiking or on the couch lounging around. These are my most favorite and most comfortable do-whatever-shorts. I have 3 pair, and wear them almost anywhere. Like all ridiculously comfy outdoor gear, there's definitely a catch: the fabric misbehaves around anything rough or snaggy. At these prices, you don't want to get pulls all over them. so keep things like velcro and sticker bushes away from them, and careful in the wash. These are more luxury than function if you're buying them for anything hard core. wear them on a beach hike while glamping, not in back country wooded trails. These have just the right weight to them. They are not ultralight.
The Best Purchase of 2020
I NEVER write product reviews but I think it's important more people know about these shorts. Buying these was the highlight of my 2020 year. These turned into my new "professional work pants" while working in the Zoom world. Not only do they fit great, they feel like you're being hugged by baby seals. I've encouraged all my friends and coworkers to get onboard the "sweatpants-shorts" game. Sliding into these for a morning coffee became my motivation for getting out of bed in the morning. Sure, they work great for working out and hiking too.
