Comfy but misleading description regarding fabrics
First of all the shorts fit very well and are super comfy. They feel durable and well made. My problem is with the description. The description page says “made with 100% organically grown cotton” and the technical specs lists “Organically grown cotton French terry” as the only fabric. This is true on both the REI website as well as the Banks Journal website. However, the tag on the shorts themselves is as follows: Body: 80% cotton, 20% polyester; Rib: 95% cotton, 5% polyurethane. The description led me to believe the shorts were made exclusively with organic cotton. I realize now they chose careful wording and purposefully left out the fabrics that did not make for good marketing. This is frustrating since I would not have purchased these shorts had I known what they were actually made of as I was looking for 100% organic cotton shorts. I will not be purchasing any clothing from this brand in the future.
