Very good, very specific, sport climbing harness
As the description suggests, this is pure sport climbing harness. If you primarily climb single pitch sport, and especially if most of your climbing is at crags with either project or permadraws (or in the gym,) the Solution is a great option. The wide leg loops are super comfortable and did a great job of distributing weight when I was both hanging in the harness while working a project and while belaying my partner who was doing the same . The waist belt is wide and supportive around the back, but narrows at the sides and dug into my hip bones significantly at first, and while this has diminished as the harness broke in, after about 10 sessions of use it still a bit uncomfortable if the harness isn’t sitting in just the right position. The gear loops on the Solution are super tiny. Not only are they short front to back (you can only fit about 6 draws on one easily, 7 if you pack them in there) but they’re also much less deep than any harness I’ve ever come across and sit very close to your body. This does a good job of getting them out of your way while you’re climbing, and is great if all that’s clipped to them is a dogging draw, but if you’re hanging draws on every pitch (especially if you also have cleaning gear with you) they might be a bit small and fiddly. Don’t even think about getting a full trad rack on this harness, even multi-pitch sport will be pushing the capacity of its gear loops. That said, these are not what the Solution is designed for: it’s a sport climbing harness, and it’s great at that job. There are more versatile harnesses out there, and ones that are better suited to other disciplines, but the Solution is my favorite for single pitch sport climbing. I can’t comment on durability yet, but the construction quality appears to be great and the materials seem like they’ll stand up well to abuse, particularly the heavily reinforced hard points.
If you lift weights, try on a women's
The wide leg loops on this harness do a good job of spreading out the pressure. If you look at other designs like the Momentum, even though the leg loops appear wide, it's mostly just padding covering up a single, inch wide, supporting strap. The loops on this harness actually have straps through their entire width. Also, if you have thicker legs, the women's versions have 1 inch wider leg loops with the same waist size. I found the men's medium to fit my waist, but too tight on my legs, while the women's fit my waist and legs perfectly.
Most Comfortable Lightweight Harness
The Solution is incredible! I had been in the market for a new harness since my old Momentum had seen better days, so I figured I would give the Solution a try. Wide leg loops make this harness comfortable enough for long days of projecting and it’s definitely light enough for your hardest red-point sends, both indoor and at the crag. I will say that the minimalist construction make it a little nerve-wracking to trust on a big fall at first but that’s all mental. I would recommend going for the Momentum if you’re a newer climber and you haven’t learned to trust your gear on big falls yet!
Great minimalist harness
This is the second harness I've owned. First was a mamut I picked up for a multi pitch climb a while back. With this harness it says it's best for sport climbing which is pretty evident in the design. The carabineer clips are rubbarized which is super durable and cuts rock rub. Very nice. The ways the leg straps come through the crotch was really comfortable despite not having much adjustability, which leaves me to say, make sure you get the right size. Super lightweight and comfortable though overall. Not a lot of padding on the back so long repels are kind of uncomfortable but it's a minor thing especially for a minimal weight harness. Two thumbs up.
Best All Day Sports Climbing Harness Out There!
After a lot of research and trying out several friends' different harnesses, the Solution harness stood out by far as the most comfortable for long climbing days. Whether it was taking a fall or just hanging, the design of the leg loops distributes the weight in a way that you don't get any nerve pinching; and the harness itself is super light and comfortable to walk around in! The only downside is the gear loops are pretty small so you can't really carry much gear if you're looking to do some trad climbing. But then again this is meant to be more of a sport climbing harness - in which it does that job exceedingly well. 10/10 Would recommend this to anyone who climbs for extended periods of time or just wants to have the most comfy harness out there.
Comfortable, sendy harness for Gym and Crag
I've used this harness for the past three months: from the gym to the crag, it has provided amazing comfortability and strength. Even when taking a fall, the harness balances the pull evenly, even pulling a lot of the tension away from the crotch. The harness loops are in ideal places for each grab of gear on either side. The harness is very comfortable to belay in as well. The only problem is that I ordered an M and the extra wait tightener band just barely reaches the loop for a secure fit. I just wish it was a tad longer but glad it works perfectly now. Awesome gear and I for sure recommend this to anyone ready to send hard on some sport routes.
Comfortable, perfect fit
I have a 32 inch waist, size M fits perfectly on both the legs and waist. I can tighten the waist strap to the point where you can tuck in the extra on the side and there are no loose bits flopping around. My last harness was a BD Momentum and it was ok but it eventually broke on one of the plastic buckle leg adjustment points. This harness does not have adjustable legs yet is noticeably more comfortable than the Momentum. I tried it on in store to be sure that the fit was right. Perfect for me.
Good First Harness
I picked this up as my first harnesses as I'm getting into rope climbing after bouldering exclusively for the past 7 months or so. I can't speak from experience with other harnesses but I like the design and fit of the Solution. I tried on all the harnesses they had in-store and this one struck me as having the right balance of features (nice gear loops, easy to adjust) and minimal design. I haven't taken any falls in it yet but it is comfortable while climbing and sitting while being lowered. I ended up being kinda in-between the small and medium with a ~31 inch waist. I couldn't get the gear and belay loops centered with the small but I have to cinch the medium up nearly all the way.
Light, Quick, Comfortable
Changed from a 4 buckle harness to the Solution. It's simple, light, quick and easy to get on and no need to fiddle to adjust. The leg loops are comfy.
The most comfortable sport climbing harness
Tried a bunch of harnesses and this is by far the most comfortable for sport or gym climbing when you don't need a ton of space on the gear loops. The leg loops are wider and make belaying quite comfortable even while your partner projects a route. Very comfortable to hang in and doesn't restrict mobility. I use something different for trad/alpine but for sport gym, this is it! Size up if you're on the edge so the harness can be cinched tight and the gear loops will be symmetrical.
