Love SRAM

3500 miles on mine, still shifts like new and rolls quietly. I take care to shift into the right gear before hills, if you're powering through, things can break. I have SRAM on 3 of my bikes, I like shimano too, but love SRAMs compatibility between components.

The GX cassette breaks easier than it should

I’ve been riding my replacement Cassette for a little less than two months. The first one broke, which I’m trying to warranty. I bought a second so I could at least ride. Just broke it again. Both broke on the same ring - 4th gear (4th from the 50 tooth). This is beyond ridiculous. You might be able to tell from the picture: that particular ring is thinner than the others. Welp...sending this one for warranty as well. Hare to say it, but this is my last SRAM drivetrain. Heading over to Shimano now. At least their cassette has individual rings that can be replaced.

It’s a cassette

My cassette is totally fine. I noticed some other users dragging down the score.

A+ Shifting. D+ Lifespan.

Upgrading to SRAM Eagle was one of the best upgrades I've done and the GX works fantastic. I like the one piece cassette, which some users didn't. My only complaint was the lifespan of both the GX cassette and GX chain which I was only about to get 1,200 miles out of before shifting performance deteriorated quickly and they started skipping. The chain had stretched a full link and a half in ~800 miles. I replaced both with X01 since, best I can tell from combing the internet, people report it's about 2x the cost but you get 3-5x the lifespan. We'll see...
