I love Hokas!

I bought this pair of shoes because I have ended up with a "drop foot" due to a back injury. I didn't want it to hinder my many hiking activities. This shoe is perfect. I can control my leg a bit better and walking/hiking is enjoyable. This is my third pair of Hokas. This pair is the correct size and width. Order your regular size.

Love the fit / Helps with knee and ankle problems

In general, I love how these shoes fit and alleviate pain I was having in my feet and knees. Very stable, no surprise ankle turns. PROS: Although not as cushy, I chose these over the Stinson because they fit my feet like they were custom-made. Lightweight. Have helped my arthritic knee and weak ankles. CON: tongue can irritate top of foot and have to keep pulling up; a little hard to get into shoe. Sole lugs not very durable. Will try the Challenger ATR 5 first to see if same fit with better tongue padding. If they don't work, will buy a couple pairs of the ATR 4 before they disappear from stock.

Poor quality

I generally love Hoka One One trail running shoes but my third pair in a row just separated between the dark blue part of the tread and the bottom of the shoe. None of these pairs were used more than a couple months and I don't run. Hoka is still my most comfortable shoe, but this is extremely frustrating. (This is my 2nd review of this shoe.)

Saved my foot!

I have hiking boots and crossovers, but I began to develop a very painful neuroma in my right foot that threatened my ability to continue hiking. I also was not able to wear other shoes without feeling like there was a painful marble in the ball of my foot. So I went to REI looking for trail runners, and the associate recommended I try these. They saved my foot!!! The pain and marble feeling gradually lessened over a few weeks and now is completely gone and my feet feel wonderful in these. Back to loving my regular hikes!!

Comfortable and cute

I am happy I found this pair that can run through puddles and clean up nicely (unlike light-colored or white soles). Very light-weight. Quick and easy to lace up. Hoka knows how to make women's shoes with enough room for toes and a no-slip heel. Fit is true to size.

Comfort is exceptional, quality is not

I bought 2 pairs of these 4 months ago and with normal use, just day hiking with my dog, and wearing to work (not an on my feet job) and they’re both coming apart at the seams, separating from the sole. The quality is terrible. Would not buy again. I bought my son, who actually runs frequently, a different brand and his are still in excellent condition.

I have wide feet and need orthotics, these work!

I had surgery on a Hammer Toe and was instructed by the surgeon to wear ONLY shoes with ROCKER SOLES. It's not easy to find shoes that fit and feel comfortable in that category. Hola One Ones are the answer. This is my second pair and, yes they are pricey, but if you're like me, you'll find them worth every penny.

Comfortable but didn't hold up

Super comfortable, like walking on clouds. Unfortunately the tread is separating from the shoe after not much use. Frustrating!

Sole came unglued... Twice

I had a pair of these fall apart after a few months. Sent them back to hoka and the gave me credit. Stupidly bought the same pair again, the sole fell apart in one week! Hoka again replacing them and claims the atr 5 does not suffer the same fate. So while hoka will replace them when they fail, if you buy this pair expect to have to replace them.... Comfort and fit wise they are great tho! I love hokas even if they aren't durable, their customer service is *amazing*
