Jackson Hole Backcountry Trip
I received a Weston Range 161 split as a gift right before I went on a backcountry trip to Jackson, WY. While I was in Jackson I spent two (8) hour days hiking and riding on the new board. I was blown away by how well the board performed. Throughout the weekend we summited several peaks and I had to breakdown and put the board back together on several occasions. This board was designed well and has all of the following characteristics: - Easy to breakdown and put it back together. - Lightweight (great for skinning) - Easy to ride in vast amounts of snow - Performs well in areas with minimal amounts of snow - Stiff enough to ride deep powder but not so stiff that you have a hard time turning the board. Overall this board is a great product and I recommend it to anyone who likes to go on backcountry adventures.
Freestylin on the split
If you are in to mostly freestyle riding and are looking to get in to the backcountry this is a great board. Its my go to splitboard for because I love that I can take my park hits to a backup ray booters and know I can land switch and ride it out in pow. It slays couloirs and open faces like the best of them as well. Its a very versatile splitboard and can handle anything you throw at it.
The backcountry freestyle answer
Backcountry snowboarding is about fun right? This board spins for wins off every pillow, bush gap and diving board. And when it lands in the deep deep snorkel pow, the set back stance and mid flex camber keep the snow under your feet and whizzing by where it belongs. Well weighted and shaped for uphill ease too. One of the most versatile and fun splits on the market.
The perfect backcounty twin split on the market
This board is one of a kind.. With traditional camber between the feet and early rise on the nose and tail, the Range gives you all the edge control you could ask for along with sharp edge to edge response for those quick moves. It alomost feels like your riding a solid board with the amount of respon you get.
