Lightweight perfect for roller skating
I bought this for my boyfriend for roller skating and it’s the perfect weight. It’s also great as an under layer for chilly winter hikes. It’s warm, but not too warm with no bulk.
This MODEL is SO LESS THAN STELLAR
I have 3 (yes, THREE!) of the previous model without the thumb hole, and I ordered this one for fall/christmas season :). However, I am disappointed with this recent model. That OLDER model is definitely STELLAR because: 1) It is so well-made, 2) Merino wool agrees with my body chemistry (no instant-stink like polyester), 3) Fits and covers the neck so well- for warmth and to help keep salty sweat and skin oil from my shell jacket, AND 4) Kuhl beat Smartwool and Icebreaker to making a light-colored one for cool but sunny days. However, this latest one with the thumb-hole fits around the neck poorly and the "turtle-neck" is so low, it just feels and looks like a crew-neck. Absolutely NON-stellar. I am disappointed that Kuhl had to fix what was not broken. IF and only IF Kuhl makes another shirt this color or red the same way the old model was made, I would be the first to buy it.
Best of the Best--Feels and Looks Great
I love this shirt and will buy another at the next sale. Best of the best in wool shirts. It is my best fitting, looking, and feeling shirt. Looks great at the office and out hiking or dining. Perfectly tailored for my body. My most complimented shirt. NO itch at all. Love the little KUHL logo on the sleeve. Can't tell you about wear and longevity since I have only had it a short time, but hopefully it holds up.
Perfect weight; wears well, looks crisp
Don't write a review very often. I was looking in the store for a lightweight wool pullover, and this is definitely my new fave for ski/winter weather wear. Easier than a bulky sweater. I have a 49-year old dad bod and with the structured shoulders and nice cut it looks flattering, as much as that's possible:)
Super Warm over a all Synthetic Base Layer
It is not often I give 5 stars. This all wool shirt keeps a lot of warmth in when worn over an all synthetic base layer. Make sure to try on this shirt over you base layer to make sure you get a loose fit. The loose fit traps more air keeping you warm.
Great long sleeve shirt
REI is beyond awesome and KUHL makes great stuff. I wear a t-shirt with clothing that has zippers so the shirt is a slightly snug, but not too bad. This shirt isn't very thick, but is good for a 30-40 degree day.
