Fantastic for all occasions
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wore this every day as a sun shirt and extra sleep layer for a month in Joshua Tree national park. It is both warm and cool, the fleece acting as a fantastic insulating layer when paired with wind or hard shells. The grid pattern allows for excellent air flow to keep you cool even in desert heat. The thumb holes in the sleeves act as great sun gloves as well for the back of your hands. It is, however, difficult to fit gloves over the thumb sleeves- the hem tends to get stuck or rolled back. I found that wearing glove liners underneath the thumb sleeve is very comfortable though. If you wear a watch, I'd wear it over the sleeve, as underneath I believe the friction from the buttons is what wore a hole in my sleeve (picture 2). Finally, the zippers are nice in that they're spring-loaded to lay flat, but the center zipper when fully zipped has no fabric covering it, so it has potential to catch on things.

The best baselayer I own
I bought this base layer for a trip I took about 2 months ago. I was headed out west and knew I would be in for some cold desert nights. I was a little hesitant at first because of the price tag but I am so happy that I bought it. It’s extremely comfortable, fits true to size and kept me warm while I hiked and slept. The hood is great to have as well. Definitely recommend this product.

Great piece of clothing!
I just bought this and took it backpacking for a week in the Smoky Mountains..it’s my new favorite piece of clothing. Light, thin, yet warm and very easy to move in. A+

My favorite article of clothing, hands down
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking for a lightweight, breathable and warm hoody for running and a baselayer for early morning bird surveys. Wow. For my $$ this is the best article of clothing I own. I bought late last summer and already plan to order another for the coming winter, as I ended up wearing it daily, not matter the activity. The fit is perfect for my size (Large, 6'4", 205lbs), form fitting but not too snug. My fiancee has one on her list too. Highly, highly recommend.

Great, lightweight, thin base layer for Winter
My first Marmot base layer purchase and love this thin hoody. Perfect for morning runs in temps below 40 degrees. Very warm, snug fit perfect for running, biking, hiking, kayaking base layer under a rain/wind shell. Worn it so far beneath running vest in temps down to 24 degrees and windy in Georgia and become my new favorite go to running gear.

Awesome base or 2nd layer
Replacing a heavier product wth something more breathable; this fits the bill perfectly. Use Ice Climbing, running in winter, XC base layer and Downhill ski 2nd layer. Love the hood and the feel is super comfortable! Breathes very well.

Great Travel Hoody
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for a spring trip to Colorado. Combined with my rain jacket, this kept me nice and warm in the Rockies. It's very lightweight and compact, so it fit perfectly in my daypack.

It never comes off
Recently purchased this and used it on a week-long backpacking trip in WY and it literally never came off. This piece is like a second skin and breaths like crazy! Love this layer.

nice and light...
with the fall season arriving this was the ideal choice due to the breathable, yet strong fabric and stitching for running around the big apple.

Great Fit - lightweight fabric
It was a little lighter weight than I was expecting but a good addition. Can easily be worn as a light mid-layer or as a heavier base-layer.
