I really love Merrell products and this one is no exception. Very comfortable and sturdy hiking/walking shoes. HOWEVER, they run pretty snug and I had to swap them out for the 11.5 (and I have pretty narrow feet) so go a half size up from what you normally wear.

Low hiking shoes

I bought these shoes about a month ago and walked three short hikes in them. They are comfortable and give slightly more support then the regular sneakers. They need more coushining so you don't feel every rock on a trail. I wear women's size 12 and these fit with correct lacing. I would not wear these on a serious hike.

Wow

I've tried many trail runner, walkers from Asolo to Keen and back to Merrell and have to say these Capras are the best. I used to work in an outfitters and never thought much of Merrell but now after wearing and studying these Capras I have found that Merrell has the best foot and arch support system in the bunch (even my physical therapist agrees!). These Capras are also extremely comfortable with plenty of toe room and a good, snug fit on the heel. I would recommend them to any and all of my friends, and even to my grandmother if she were still around ...

Great Looking Shoe But Not Breathable

This is a good waterproof shoe, but it isn't as breathable as the North Face Ultra 109. I would recommend for venting and waterproof get the NF, but I do like the colors of the orange/black Merrell Capra WP and the silver makes it look are great! The tongue of these Merrell are more trail running like, I wish more shoes had a tongue like this. I am very happy with the Vibram sole and the feel of these shoes. Even the shoe laces hold tight and are made of a flat, durable material. If you're a Baltimore Orioles fan the orange and black will get noticed!! Go O's!!

Nice, funny fit on the ball of foot, but good

I just hiked 12 miles of easy/moderate trails, and they held up nicely. I was concerned because the right foot had a funny fit, like the insole's arch was on the ball of my foot, which caused a bit of pain. But they broke in and seem to be fine. Also they look pretty stylish and understated for hiking shoes, and so I can wear them around the city, too.

Comfortable, but not waterproof for long

After less than a year of very light use these already leak water anymore. 7 out of the last 10 pairs of shoes I've bought have been Merrell and I'm usually very happy with them. This pair and my previous pair of Merrell Moab waterproof shoes both became un-waterproof in just about 1 years time. My previous pair of Moab shoes stayed waterproof for 3+ years of much heavier use.

Not a good fit

As soon as I tried these on, the soles just didn't feel right. I had ordered them online. I returned them. I have had Merrell shoes in the past with great success. This pair just weren't doings for me. I think that another for might fit better
