My FAVORITE boardshorts
My favorite boardshorts that I have ever owned. All day comfort (I know- all boardshorts are, but not like these. They have POCKETS), love the color, fabric doesn’t chafe, I could go on and on. The only thing I wish was different from a functional lens is that the rear pocket could use a zipper closure.

Bought these for 2 months of travel to Mexico and Hawaii. So far, they've been awesome. I like how there's no liner, the zipper pocket that isn't too bulky for keys, credit card; and they're durable enough to where for days on end while hiking. Normally wear a 28,29 waist but had to get the 30s. Honestly I like the bigger size's slightly more relaxed fit and they don't fall off when surfing or swimming.
No liner
Yes, I know that board shorts rarely have liners. But still I was hoping Vuori chose these as one such style... they look great, and I expect they will serve adequately in select situations. But... why would anyone wear these (or other typical board shorts) to the public pool or beach unless they 1. don't care if the guy or gal nearby can see your 'stuff' when you are lounging in between water sessions, or 2. enjoy wearing non-swimming briefs under the board shorts to keep their stuff contained and hypothetically unseen while lounging? Very annoying and disappointing. Maybe Vuori will also sell 'the perfect underwear for your board short pool adventures' ;) Sheesh.
Awesome shorts
Love these shorts! Super comfortable material on the shorts, great length for me (I'm 5'11" 175 lbs), and I love that they have very functional pockets to actually keep phone wallet and keys in while moving around before/after going in the water.
great shorts, fabric less durable then hoped
Bought these shorts for a trip to Hawaii needing one short to do it all. These were wonderful and from town to, hike to surf break these worked great. Got back home and wore them to a pool and the fabric of the shorts ripped while getting out of the pool. The fabric caught on an stone edge and ripped a three inch tear. Super bummed but they can’t be so comfortable and bombproof at the same time. Would buy again but would love a sturdier fabric.
Unattractive Color
I realize that everybody's computer monitors will look different, but what I received was pretty far off from what I saw on several screens. Instead of a rust or warmer brown color, to me it looks like a yellowish light brown - kind of like baby feces. Not feeling it.
YES!
I usually wear a 31-ish swim trunk, but these only come in 30 or 32. I went with 30 and they fit great. I'm 6'0 and 160. The are super light and comfortable, I am a fan.
Contains Nanosilver
The shorts look and fit just fine. My problem with these is they contain nanosilver. Am so tired of these weird coatings and treatments getting into fabrics which have really questionable health studies linked to them. Worse yet is you really have to dig to find out whats in these fabrics.
Love these confy shorts
Great confortable Shorts that fit very perfectly, is light, and looks great. Notice it has open side pockets which is not ideal for board sports, but still this shorts fits so perfectly you want to wear it all the time.
Wear everywhere
Loved these shorts. Stylish enough that you can wear them everywhere away from the pool. The pocket setup also helps wearing them everywhere as you can carry your wallet, keys, and phone like you normally would in any other pair of shorts (just remember to take them out before you jump in the water). The material is fantastic...it feels like it just doesn't absorb water like other swim trunks so you don't have a drippy mess when you get out of the pool. This also makes it fast drying as well. The material is a little on the thin side but no different than most fast drying board shorts which means at times your normal anatomy becomes "more distinctive." However the stripes tend to lessen the appearance of this. I think this pair of board shorts does better than most on this issue which is why I wore these things everywhere. Sizing is spot on but you can still over-tighten the draw strings to make a larger size work for you. This is my new go to board short...I am thrilled by these things.
