Sizing Notes

For boots: Add one half size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters.

something is different wit this model

I went through 3-4 Miuras (all lace ups) and none of those gave me as much trouble as this model. Something is wrong with the stitching on the inside of the back of the right foot. It digs through my skin and drew blood. Also, the laces are almost gone with less than two months of wearing (3 times/week at the gym)

Good intermediate shoe but not very durable

I bought this shoe as an upgrade from my beginner shoe. It suited my purposes for a short time but after climbing in them for a month and a half they had completely lost their downturn and I had almost completely blown through the toe. Granted, I did climb with these close to 35 days in that month and a half, but I was disappointed in them. They also weren't very comfortable for my wide feet. If you have narrow feet I'm sure they'd be more comfortable but my foot didn't really work with them. I wouldn't say these are a bad shoe, I mean after all they've climbed 5.15c and free soloed Half Dome, but they weren't my favorite.

The Go-To choice for me

These are the ideal shoes for sport climbing in my area, Potrero Chico and El Salto, worn by all serious local climbers. A solid tip holds on well to sharp limestone edges and smears alike. They have also worked fantastically for indoor bouldering and sport climbing. I would subtract a star due to them losing their aggressive downturned shape very quickly, resulting in a neutral, but more comfortable, shoe. It is not a real problem for me, but i would rather recommend anyone who expects the shape to stay to opt for the model with the velcro straps.

Edging machines

Last year I picked up my first pair of Miura. I have loved them. Had been in a pair of Katana but wanted something lace up to adjust the fit a bit more as well as something a bit stiffer. They have held up well and once broken in they are comfortable for me to wear on long multi pitch routes. They have been my go to shoe all year and I look forward to my next pair. Thanks Sportiva!

Love these shoes

I might be partial because I was wearing these shoes when I sent my project, but I love them. They broke in well after a few sessions. Love the fit. They’ve been great in the gym and I’ll be taking them outside this summer.

Same Miura, Same Great Shoe

I really like the Miura. This new version seems to have only changed cosmetically. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I wish they were a little less asymmetric, and that they held their down turn a little better. Other than that. These are great.

Great all around shoes

I’ve used these shoes for approximately 7 years, i resoled my 1st pair 2-3 times and just bought my second pair. Same quality, same excellent fit, the miura are my go to all around shoes, i use them to train, climb multipitch and also moderate boulders/routes.

My forever shoe

On my second pair of Miura Laces, one from the previous gen, and now these. A great moderately aggressive, versatile shoe that, once broken in, I can still wear for hours at a time. I was briefly tempted away to try a pair of Katakis, which gave me excruciating mid-foot cramps after 20 minutes, so I quickly reverted back to the Miuras. Hope they never stop making these!
