Nice Bike
I bought this bike about 2 months ago, upgrading from a hard tail trail bike and I am generally very pleased with the purchase, I am an intermediate rider hitting some fairly rocky and rooty trails up and down about 1100 feet here in Alabama at Oak Mountain State park. This bike has been a great upgrade for me making the rough terrain much more enjoyable. The bike is very intuitive and stable on the downhill runs. It comes with a drop seat which I would not have thought to purchase but has turned out to be a really nice feature. Drive chain stability and reliability are excellent. Shifting is smooth and handles last second shifts in the middle of the action without any issues. On my old bike I used to drop my chain 2 or 3 times during a typical ride but the front chain guard on the Framr AL 6 makes it seemingly impossible to drop the chain during the ride. My last bike was a 29er and I was surprised that I have not missed the extra tire size. Suspension gives a nice smooth ride, but the rear suspension was tough to get up to compression level needed. I weigh about 210 with gear and had to pump it to 240 to get in desired range. It took me a few rides to get used to the set up of the bike with the front fork sitting further much out in front of me than my trail bike. I had to just get used to keeping my weight forward on technical climbs so I wouldn't fall off the back of the bike. If you are making a similar switch, be warned. The bike feels a little heavier than I expected and the color is much darker than the pictures on the website, but overall I am very happy with the bike.
