Great power transfer
I bought this bike after trying the co-op drt1.1, which is also a good bike, just not for me. A bit about me: I'm kinda huge at 300 lbs 6'1" The wheels/tires on this bike have so much grip that I don't just spin the rear tire. Some people say that it takes more effort to get going on a plus bike, but if your my size that's not the case. Also, I was worried about the 1x and not having a giant granny gear for the climbs. Well, I'm actually faster now. I think this is due to the grip which as I mentioned, allows me to put all my power down without wasting it and slipping the tire. The frame also seems very sturdy and the through axles are great for someone my size. Overall I love this bike. The only bad thing is, it specs a GXP BB but mine came with an internal type.
Stop Looking and Buy This Bike
I've owned this bike for about 2 months now and have taken it on (basically) every single track Kansas has to offer. While we are not Colorado, there are more than enough rocky sections and sharp climbs to go around. I transitioned from a full suspension Diamondback Recoil Comp and do not find myself missing the rear shock as these plus size tires prefer rough ground. The only upgrade I've done to this bike is add a Highline Dropper Post from Crank Brothers. This bike is not only great for the trails, but adventure biking as well. Kansas is known for our expansive gravel roads and bike packing. Although not as efficient as my gravel bike, I prefer the comfort and all out fun this bike has to offer. It's the most solid feeling bike in my arsenal and has replaced my other hardtail that is non plus size. The only downside to this bike is the frame geometry doesn't allow for a decent sized frame bag, but I'm just being picky at that point!
