Not typical Thermoball quality

I have owned two Thermoball products before--a jacket and a vest. This was my first Stretch Thermoball and I am horribly disappointed. After only 45 days of owning it the inside stuffing was sneaking out near the armpit area on the inside and the outside of the jacket and pilling. When I brought it back to NorthFace to return I was shocked that they no longer allow returns once something has been worn. Everything needs to instead be sent into their warranty department. Uh ok so the jacket I bought to wear, needs to be sent out about faulty craftsmanship and what do I then wear in the mean time?!? This seems to be ridiculous policy to have especially when one can argue the product is faulty. So now I have been without a jacket for 4 weeks and have no idea if or when I will ever get my jacket back. Luckily, there are other more customer focused companies such as Athleta and Lululemon that have similar jackets that are better quality.

I love this jacket as a lightweight warm option for cooler weather. I love the red and i like the non-slick surface. It is great hiking or out in the woods and it is also cute to wear out!

Totally satisfied

I put it on and couldn't believe how well fits next to my body making me look not bulk at all but free and nice, I got rabit grey and it looks just like in the picture, I am a 133 pond and 5.4 feet Mexican women with hips and the small size fits just perfect PERFECT, the fabric feels soft, my neck is kind of short and this jacket doesn't hide mi neck or rubbers my chin at all, I move freely and the jacket stays in place, I know it is expensive but forget about that and buy it, I really think I have to buy this in other colors because I don't want to take it off ever!!!

Love the stretch

I’m 5’8” and around 125lbs and the medium fit perfectly. I’m also 4 months postpartum... So I’ve been trying to figure out how to dress my body. I found this jacket to be very comfortable and move around less when I lift my arms with the stretch. This jacket also fits well under a shell. The water resistance is great brand new. My little one drooled on the jacket and it rolled right off! I’ve been using it for daily wear, but am excited to use it for skiing and snowshoeing.

Perfect!!

Finally a stylish non shiny jacket that fits more taylor and feminine..with just the right amount of stretch and not so thin and cheaply made!! its thickness is perfect not too thin like the other ones and thick enough to wear in cold weather and actually feel warm..it felt a little tighter then my normal mediums from the northface but the wonderful comfortable stretch it has makes it fit perfect and taylor!! I love this jacket!! Finally!!! Now I hope the northface works on their metropolis parkas not being sooo long for some of us smaller people... I love the new metropolis parkas for 2016/17 except their even longer!!

I'll buy on for my daughter!

Best light weight warm coat I have ever owned. You can't feel it's even on. Its a coat you don't take off when you drive, because it is so comfortable and light weight you can seamlessly go from in you car to the outdoors. It is my favorite casual coat. Deep inside pocket for your Smart phone (Galaxy S8) to be secure. Adjustable, and zippers are rugged and well-made. Scrunchable so you can put it in suitcase or backpack easily. Looks nice. I've gotten lots of compliments. I will be buying more as gifts for the very special people in my life. It is expensive, but for a coat of this quality, you pay for what you get and that's the best coat you will ever own. Love it!

Great fit, warm and lightweight - best jacket ever

I took this jacket to the Camino de Santiago, which I did in the thick of the winter, and it worked like a champ. Now note that you do need a couple of layers to really keep you warm, but as long as one of the layers is wool (smartwool, even better), you are *golden*. I am 125-130lb, and the size small left enough room for layers without compromising mobility. The icing on the cake is, it does not lose its warmth when wet, unlike down and other natural fibers, and the fit is awesome. Best jacket ever!

functional and love the technical details

I love this jacket and that it's packable! It packs nicely into the wearers left pocket which has a small double sided zipper and locker loop for hanging. It's light and great to throw in your backpack for traveling. I like the stretch fabric and that it's not shinny. It has a matte look and feels nice. I'm 5'4 135lb (with small hips) and I'm usually in-between a small and medium so I ordered a medium. The shoulder seam sits about 1/4" further out that I would like it... but with a hoodie underneath, the fit is perfect. The over all cut of the jacket is great, it's slimming and the quilting layout makes you look slimmer too. I bought the rabbit grey color and love it. I would buy another one in black if it came back in stock.

I will wear this jacket forever

This is my first winter in a cold weather climate in 5 years. 8 needed something to keep me warm but not weigh me down. This jacket is perfect. It is also a very flattering fit which I will wear anywhere. I picked the mid gray color which is very neutral and can Ben dressed up or down depending on the scarf or hat. I like not having a hood as it allows more variety. I have a zillion nice scarves and am trying out different looks. The coat is a nice palette for having fun with color. Dry well made and fits me to a tee. I appreciate the stretch feature.
