Back during the anniversary sale I purchased a sleeping bag for a fall REI adventures trip I also booked during said sale. Sadly the trip was canceled and as I normally am teaching in the fall I don't know if any non summer camping is in my future so it doesn't make sense to have a bag that cold rated. However, since I intended on using it I've already removed packaging/tags (though haven't actually used the sleeping bag). Would I still be able to return it?

You can still return an item with no tags. If you don't have your proof of purchase, we can look it up for you as long as you purchased it under your membership.
