Sizing Notes

For boots: Add one half size to your street shoe size. You should be able to slip one finger behind your heel when you are standing up with the boot unlaced and your toes touching the front. If the boot is too short, your toes will get smashed walking downhill. Too long and your heel will slide up and down and give you blisters.

Great hiking shoe

I wear La Sportiva brand for trail running. They always fit my feet, are comfortable, and I have had very good luck with them for the last 10+ years. Bought these hikers because I know La Sportiva brand never gives me blisters while breaking them in. I was not disappointed. Great hiking shoe. Light weight, and comfortable.

Uncomfortable Tongue

I got my normal size 7 and it was very tight and the tongue was stiff and digging into the lower part of my ankles. I'm hesitant to try a 7.5.

Great quality

La Sportiva has a wonderful line of hiking and running shoes. Same great quality but I found the leather to be too heavy.

Design Flaw?

I liked these for the most part. The fit was good and they felt comfortable. However, the tongue was way too short and the laces, when tied, could easily slip over the top and wind up on the top of my ankle. For that reason I never tried them on the trail and returned them. Disappointing.

Runs Small, Left Foot Bed Outer Top Edge Defect

This is my 1st pair of La Sportiva. The grippy soles are so very comfortable. I’m impressed with these soles and will feel confident on uphill and descent climbs that have rocky and steep inclines. I can’t wait to test these on the trails one day. I normally wear Size 9 in Nike and North Face shoes. This shoes runs small, I had to order size 9.5 and these fit really comfortably. These boots seem a lot heavier than my 8+ year old North Face hiking shoes. FYI - Unfortunately, the left foot had issues in the top left outer edge of my foot. Defective sole injection or ??? Returning this shoe and hope the replacement fits better.

The perfect shoe for me!

I have a hard time finding shoes that fit, and these are perfect! They are sturdy, not bulky, they look good, and have a pleasant gait. Since they are a closeout, I’ve purchased several pairs. I hope to see more like this.
