It is amazing what a person can do with a rake. Last month we highlighted the sand art of Jim Denevan. We now introduce you to Andres Amador, a San Francisco artist profiled last year on the Discovery Channel, which last night aired its latest installment of its 7-part Frozen Planet series. Today the Discovery-owned website Treehugger.com published a feature on Amador and his work, which we share with our readers here.

Sand art is a lovely, if ephemeral, thing to see. Take a look at Amador's process in this Discovery segment and marvel at the results:
