Just in from the Interbike show in Las Vegas: REI’s announces that new urban, road and mountain bikes will highlight its updated 2011 Novara bike offerings.
Novara is REI’s exclusive bike brand (with 5 of them in my garage, I should know), and Interbike is the traditional launching ground for each year’s models.
Here’s a sneak peek at the all-new bike models:
E.T.A. ($799): An urban bike built to cover distance. Features SRAM X5 shifters, a rear derailleur and Shimano crankset with 27 speeds.
Verita ($1,099): A classic roadster with a svelte design. Features a chromoly frame, SRAM Apex 20-speed drivetrain with FSA Vero compact crankset.
Matador 29 ($799): A 29er mountain bike with aluminum frame, SRAM 27-speed drivetrain and Suntour XCR 80mm fork.
Buzz One ($399): A rugged single-speed urban bike with options. Features a 700c chromoly frame and a flip-flop rear hub (fixed gear on one side, freewheel on the other).
The rest of the 2011 Novara line features many upgrades. The new and upgraded Novara bikes will be available at REI stores and REI.com starting in November.
