Julie Ellison

Julie writes and shoots stories about climbing and the outdoors and was Climbing magazine's first female Editor-in-Chief. She uses adventure as a way to experience the world and help the people in it. Based out of a van named Betsy, she and her 60-pound lap dog named Lizzie roam the U.S. looking for stealthy parking spots and free wifi. Her work has appeared in Backpacker, Climbing, Outside, and TGR among others. REI member since 2006.
