Seattle-based writer, editor and storyteller Ted Alvarez is the author of three books, including the recent The Wilderness Idiot: Lessons From An Accidental Adventurer, which kind of says it all. In addition to being the Science and Environment editor at Crosscut, his work has appeared in Outside, Alaska Airlines Beyond, Men’s Health, and Backpacker, where he is also the magazine’s Northwest Field Editor.
