Amanda Machado is a writer, editor, teacher and world traveler currently living in Oakland, California. She works with nationally renowned publications and nonprofits, sharing her experiences on the road, the trail and everywhere in between. Amanda is also a founding member and lead writer for Brown Environmentalist, a collaborative, long-form and multimedia collective working to amplify the experiences, contributions and leadership of Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) in the environment.
