Recipe: Healthy-ish Popcorn

What do you love about this recipe?
I really love this recipe because it’s so easy to make and if you don’t eat it all you can bag it for a snack later. Ghee can last a month without refrigeration so I love taking it on camping trips. I made it when I was on a road trip last summer in Montana.
- Corn kernels
- Ghee butter
Use a medium sized pot with a lid, put it over whatever heat source you have. Add a few tablespoons of ghee (or more) into the pot and one corn kernel. Put the lid on. Once it pops add enough kernels to cover the bottom of the pot. Put the lid back on. Make sure you shake the pot a few times so nothing burns. Once it’s all popped take it off the heat and put it in a bowl. Add about 1/2 a tablespoon of turmeric, 1/2 tablespoon of cumin, and a pinch of cayenne. Salt to taste. Mix it all in with your hands or a utensil. You can add more ghee if you like a lot of butter. You just have to melt it and pour it on top then mix it.
