Overview

Join renowned wildlife ecologist, conservationist, and Emmy-winning host Chris Morgan of THE WILD podcast for an unforgettable journey into the lives of bears and other large carnivores. Through captivating stories from some of the world's most remote landscapes, you'll feel immersed alongside Chris as he treks through dense jungles and across Arctic sea ice, sharing inspiring tales of adventure, discovery, and hope for our planet. Known to many as "The Bear Guy," Chris Morgan is a British-American wildlife filmmaker, podcaster, and conservationist whose work has reached hundreds of millions of viewers through PBS, BBC, National Geographic, Discovery, and more. His career has taken him from the Arctic to Antarctica, including tracking grizzly bears on foot for more than 2,000 miles and producing acclaimed wildlife films around the globe. We'll also hear from Home Range Wildlife Research, a women-led team of biologists based in Washington's Methow Valley. Dedicated to studying and conserving wildlife across the region, their work includes research and protection efforts for species such as the Canada lynx in the North Cascades.
