Join author, mountain athlete, and educator Bethany Adams for an inspiring evening exploring endurance, resilience, and the transformative power of time spent in wild places. Drawing from her book Unsupported, Bethany will share the story of her remarkable journey through New York's Adirondack High Peaks, one of the most rugged and challenging mountain landscapes in the Northeast. In 2020, Bethany became one of the first women to complete all 46 Adirondack High Peaks unsupported, covering approximately 200 miles and 70,000 feet of elevation gain in just one week. Through stories from the trail, she'll discuss the physical and mental challenges of moving through remote mountain terrain, the lessons learned along the way, and how outdoor experiences can foster growth, healing, and personal discovery. Whether you're a backpacker, day hiker, endurance athlete, or simply someone who finds inspiration in big adventures, this session offers a unique perspective on pursuing ambitious goals in the outdoors. The evening will conclude with an audience Q&A. About the Presenter: Bethany Adams is a New York-based writer, mountain athlete, and experiential educator whose work explores endurance, identity, and healing through wild places. She is the first woman to complete 100 Fastest Known Times (FKTs) and serves as a community ambassador for SheJumps, helping expand access to outdoor experiences for women and girls.
