Join REI for a presentation hosted by local partners about walking the Camino de Santiago trail in northern Spain. Become acquainted with the history, landscapes, and what it's like to be a Camino trekker. Preparations for the journey will be discussed, including backpacking gear needed. Explore with us the many layers of this ancient path designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Whether you just heard of the Camino and are looking for more information or are actively planning your trip, this talk will be informative and practical with plenty of great photos and opportunities for questions.

Join John and Joni Melville for a lively discussion of Spain’s Camino de Santiago, the 1100 year old pilgrim hike ending in Santiago de Compostela. You will get an overview of its history and alternative routes, insights into a day-in-the-life on the Camino, gear suggestions, technology, money planning and lots of opportunities for Q&A.  Presented by the Tampa Bay Chapter, American Pilgrims on the Camino.
