Join an inspiring evening with German adventurer and filmmaker Dirk Rohrbach as he shares stories from 20 years of adventures in America, including a once-in-a-lifetime journey becoming the first European to paddle America’s longest river system from source to sea. Beginning high in the Rocky Mountains of Montana, Dirk traveled solo nearly 4,000 miles down the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers to the Gulf of Mexico in a wooden kayak he built himself. In this presentation, Dirk looks back on his most impressive experiences in the land of unlimited adventures - from circumnavigating and crossing the United States by bicycle to his expeditions on the Yukon and Missouri rivers, and more. Experience an America that doesn't make the headlines. About our speaker: Dirk Rohrbach is an adventurer, filmmaker, photographer, physician and author of 10 books whose journeys span paddling and cycling expeditions across America and beyond. He is also a seasoned paddle guide and the creator of the documentary series The Flow, capturing epic journeys and the human stories found along the way.
