Join an inspiring event hosted by Pisgah Area SORBA in partnership with the Hunter Hometown Foundation celebrating the women helping shape the future of trails, outdoor recreation, and community stewardship across Western North Carolina - bringing together a dynamic panel of local leaders who are making a lasting impact on the places we explore and cherish. Join a casual meet-and-greet and light refreshments, followed by a conversation with trail advocates, land stewards, outdoor educators, and recreation leaders from across the region. They’ll share personal stories, lessons learned, and insights into the challenges and opportunities of leading in the outdoor space. From maintaining world-class trail systems to protecting public lands and creating more inclusive outdoor experiences, these women are helping ensure that Western North Carolina remains a vibrant destination for adventure and connection. You'll leave with fresh perspectives, meaningful connections, and practical ways to make an impact. Plus, learn about Pisgah Area SORBA’s grant-funded Women’s Trail Crew Leader Training Class. About our speaker: This panel features trail and conservation leaders from organizations including the U.S. Forest Service, Conserving Carolina, Dirt Skrrts, Pisgah Area SORBA, and Ride Kanuga. Through their diverse backgrounds and experiences, they bring unique perspectives on caring for trails, building community, and expanding opportunities for women in outdoor leadership.
