Treat Yourself Outside: Radical Self-Care in the Outdoors

Join us for Treat Yourself Outside, an honest and energizing conversation about how time outdoors can be a powerful form of self-care. Together, we’ll explore what often gets in the way of getting outside, from busy schedules to barriers rooted in access and equity, and how to move through them with intention. This session goes beyond inspiration—it’s about building a practice. Discover simple, meaningful ways to bring more time outside into your routine, whether it’s a neighborhood walk, time in a local park, or seeking out green spaces that help you slow down and reset. We’ll also dig into how outdoor wellness intersects with environmental justice, and what it means to care for both ourselves and our communities. Expect a welcoming, reflective space with practical ideas you can carry into your everyday life. Come as you are, leave with tools to help you feel more grounded, connected, and restored. About our speaker: Ariel Dela Cruz is an urban environmental activist and community organizer with over eight years of experience advancing community education, green space access, and advocacy. Her work brings together environmental justice and personal wellness, creating pathways for people to reconnect with the outdoors in ways that feel inclusive and sustainable.
