Tennessee RiverLine Opt Outside Community Clean Up

Join the Tennessee RiverLine and REI Co-op for a day of stewardship along the Tennessee River and its tributaries near the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus. Part of REI’s Opt Outside movement, we’re trading time indoors for time outside — and putting that time to good use. Together, volunteers will help remove litter and debris from the riverbanks and waterways near the Tennessee RiverLine’s headquarters and headwaters. This is an opportunity to roll up your sleeves, meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts, and help care for one of Knoxville’s greatest natural resources. After the cleanup, we’ll gather for lunch, provided for all participants. Everyone who volunteers will also receive a swag bag filled with REI goodies for future outdoor adventures, with additional giveaways during lunch. Come ready to get a little dirty, do some good, and spend time outside.
