Join participating area REI stores for a free, drop-in community celebration that puts local nonprofit partners front and center. Come meet the organizations working to expand access to nature, protect a healthy planet, and grow a more inclusive outdoor community—then take home real ideas for how you can show up locally, whether that’s volunteering, learning, donating, or simply sharing the trail. Each store will feature a different mix of community partners based on availability, so you can discover who’s making an impact in your neighborhood and connect directly with the people doing the work. No registration required—just stop by, get inspired, and find a meaningful next step you can take in your own backyard.

Notes

Community Partners Tabling Event: The Greening of Detroit & Luki Bike Adventures Join us for a community tabling event featuring The Greening of Detroit and Luki Bike Adventures, two local nonprofit organizations supported through our Cooperative Action Fund. This event offers an opportunity to learn more about how these organizations are creating positive impact through environmental stewardship, outdoor access, and youth empowerment. The Greening of Detroit works to strengthen communities through tree planting, green spaces, environmental education, and workforce development, helping create healthier and more equitable neighborhoods across Detroit. Luki Bike Adventures empowers youth through cycling, outdoor adventure, and mentorship, providing inclusive programs that build confidence, leadership, and a lifelong connection to the outdoors. Attendees are encouraged to stop by each table to learn more about the mission and impact of these nonprofit partners. Representatives from both organizations will be available to answer questions, share information about current programs, and highlight ways to get involved, including volunteer opportunities and community engagement. Whether you’re interested in environmental conservation, youth development, or supporting local nonprofits, this event provides a welcoming space to connect and learn more about the important work happening in our community.
