Tucson is one of the top birding destinations in the United States, thanks to its unique mix of habitats. In this session, you’ll learn what makes our region is so special, discover amazing local bird species, and get tips on where to go and how to connect with the birding community. Our presenter will also share tips, tools and resources that can make your birding adventures even more rewarding. Whether you’re a curious beginner or looking to deepen your appreciation for nature, this event is the perfect starting point. About our speaker: Luke Safford is the Engagement Director for Tucson Bird Alliance and oversees the Southeast Arizona Birding Festival, one of the largest birding festivals in the country. He has been leading weekly birding walks at Sweetwater Wetlands since 2015 and loves introducing new people to the joys and adventure of birding.
