Step inside a home on wheels and explore how America's public lands can serve as places for adventure, connection, and discovery. In this unique session celebrating National Public Lands Day, guests will get an up-close look at life on the road while learning about the many ways public lands support recreation, travel, and outdoor experiences across the country. Through personal stories and a guided vehicle tour, participants will gain insight into vehicle-based travel, the variety of public lands available beyond national parks, and the opportunities these spaces create for exploration and connection. The presentation will also highlight the importance of responsible recreation, Leave No Trace principles, and stewardship of the shared landscapes that make these experiences possible. Whether you're curious about van life, dreaming of your next road trip, or passionate about public lands, this event offers an engaging perspective on the relationship between people, travel, and the places that bring us outdoors. About the Presenter: Paige Whialder is an outdoor traveler and storyteller who spent three years traveling full-time across the United States in a converted school bus. Drawing from firsthand experiences living, exploring, and recreating on public lands, Paige shares stories that inspire connection, stewardship, and adventure.
