Florida is home to more natural springs than anywhere else on Earth—between 700 and 1,000 in total. These crystal-clear waters are not only beautiful but vital to the state’s ecosystems and communities. In this interactive presentation, you’ll learn the science behind how springs are formed and why they’re so unique. Discover how everyday actions impact water quality and what you can do to help protect these fragile environments. This hands-on session (with the option to simply sit and observe, if desired) will deepen your understanding of Florida’s springs and inspire you to be a better steward of these natural treasures. Presented by Florida State Parks rangers, dedicated to preserving and educating the public about Florida’s extraordinary natural resources.
