Overview

The Sky Island Spotlight Series brings our local communities and the Coronado National Forest together for lively, meaningful conversation. Each session creates space for collaboration, trust, and shared understanding—groundwork that strengthens how we care for the places we all value. At its heart, this series is about building lasting relationships between the conservation community and the Coronado National Forest. By showing up in good faith—ready to listen, learn, and collaborate—we strengthen the trust and cooperation that make shared stewardship possible. Each presentation in the series will highlight dynamic presentations designed to inform and connect our community.

Notes

The August session of the Sky Island Spotlight Series will feature two presentations. There will be time for discussion and questions following the presentations. 1. Speaker: TBA 2. Resource Advisory Committees: Turning Title II Funds into Community Impact — A look at the Southern Arizona Resource Advisory Committee and how Title II funds support projects that make a real difference in surrounding communities. Speaker: Robyn Abeyta, Partnership Coordinator for the Coronado National Forest.
