Overview
Step into summer with purpose and adventure with the 4th Annual Presumpscot Regional Land Trust Summer Trail Challenge. This is your invitation to experience the beauty, adventure, and discovery waiting across PRLT’s amazing trail network of conserved lands that showcase the best of southern Maine. Stop by to grab your Trail Challenge Passport, connect with fellow hikers, and get inspired for the season ahead. PRLT staff will be on hand to walk you through each featured preserve, highlighting what makes them special—from riverside ecosystems and hidden gems close to town to thoughtfully stewarded trails that make getting outside more accessible for everyone. You’ll also learn how to get started, hear about this year’s prizes, and even sign up for a guided hike to check off your first destination. Stick around after the kickoff for a free Hiking Basics class hosted by REI. You’ll learn essential prep tips, Leave No Trace practices, and practical skills to help you get the most out of every mile. If interested in attending the class, please sign up at rei.com/events. Presumpscot Regional Land Trust is a local nonprofit dedicated to protecting and stewarding lands along the Presumpscot River. Their outreach and stewardship team brings deep knowledge of the region’s trails and a passion for helping people connect with these special places.
