Join us for an inspiring introduction to native plants and their role in supporting healthy local ecosystems. Learn why native plants are uniquely adapted to our region, how they benefit pollinators and wildlife, and how even small gardens can contribute to biodiversity. You'll also get an introduction to plant identification and practical guidance on selecting native plants for your landscape. Whether you're gardening from a balcony, a backyard, or a larger property, you'll leave with approachable ideas for creating a more resilient, wildlife-friendly outdoor space and a new perspective on stewardship that begins at home.

Centered in the dry shrub-steppe of the lower Columbia Basin and reaching to the east into the rolling hills of the Palouse Prairie, the Columbia Basin Chapter of the Washington Native Plant Society provides a resource for anyone interested in exploring our native flora. Events are open to the public. Everyone is welcome, from experienced botanist to those who are simply curious about the beautiful plants and habitats in our area.
