The Life We Have: A Community Run and Film Night with Stupid Cancer
Join an energizing evening that starts with a fun 5K run or walk through Washington, DC with all paces welcome. After the run or walk, settle back in for free food, conversation, and a powerful panel featuring local cancer advocates who are changing what survivorship and support look like for young adults.
We’ll close the night with a screening of the award-winning short film The Life We Have, a moving story that captures resilience, humor, and the choice to live boldly even in the face of cancer. Hosted by Stupid Cancer in partnership with Black Girls Run and Black Men Run DC, this feel-good gathering invites you to connect and be inspired. Come for the run, stay for the stories, and leave reminded of the power of community.
Stupid Cancer is the leading organization serving adolescents and young adults affected by cancer, working to end isolation and make cancer suck less through community, advocacy, and bold storytelling. Their local advocates bring lived experience, honesty, and hope to every conversation.
