Show up for your community with the Green Light GO Gear Drive, an REI Cooperative Action Fund partner event that turns your extra gear into real access to the outdoors for underserved youth. The right equipment is the difference between sitting out and stepping in—your donation helps remove financial barriers so more young people can fully participate in snow trips, backpacking excursions, and wilderness workshops.
Bring gently used or new outdoor gear in any size (youth through adult). High-need items include snow pants, warm jackets, hiking boots, snowshoes, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, tents, stoves, fuel, cook pots, backpacks, headlamps or flashlights, gloves, hats, and freeze-dried food.
Green Light Get Outside (Green Light GO) is a nonprofit partner of the REI Cooperative Action Fund that works alongside diverse school communities to help underserved youth build healthy relationships with themselves, others, and nature through social emotional learning and transformative outdoor experiences. By combining mentorship, classroom learning, and time outside, Green Light GO helps young people grow confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging in the outdoors.
