Through inspiring stories from communities across the country, these films explore how meaningful connections to the natural world can support health, well-being, resilience, and a stronger sense of belonging. Together, The Redford Center and REI Fund celebrate the people and organizations helping more communities experience the transformative power of nature. Whether you're passionate about conservation, community impact, or the outdoors, we invite you to join us for an evening of storytelling, reflection, and connection.

Join REI Co-op for an inspiring evening where nature, community, and storytelling come together during Our Nature Connection Film Series. Meet the filmmakers and enjoy screenings of Boyz N The Wood: Resilience in the Redwoods and Marcus & Me: Connecting with Nature in Steel City. Throughout the event, attendees will hear from outdoor advocates, wellness leaders, and community partners in a series of conversations exploring how nature strengthens wellbeing, fosters belonging, and expands representation in the outdoors. Featured Panelist include: CJ Goulding, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Boyz N The Wood Marcus Shoffner, Founder of The Outdoor Inclusion Coalition Kenya Jackson-Saulters, Founder of Project 120 and We Hike to Heal Robert Bailey, Director of Mental Health, Boyz N The Wood Dr. Tevin Proctor, Program Manager, Wellstar Health System with the discussion moderated by Alisha McKinney, Manager of Local Marketing Activation and Chinara Aklilu, Program Manager. Arrive early to enjoy complimentary food, music, and connection with local community partners dedicated to expanding access, wellness, and connection in the outdoors.
