Join author David Ryan as he highlights some of New Mexico’s most remarkable places to explore on foot. Home to three of the nation’s 26 UNESCO World Heritage Sites—Carlsbad Caverns, Chaco Culture, and Taos Pueblo—New Mexico offers windows into geology, sky, history, and living culture you won’t find anywhere else. Add volcanic mesas, high desert canyons, alpine forests, and petroglyph lined trails, and you have a landscape that rewards curious hikers at every turn.
In this presentation, David will share both celebrated destinations and hidden corners worth planning a trip around, offering fresh ideas for hikes, wanderings, and road trip adventures throughout the Land of Enchantment.
