Dog Hiking New England with Author Jill McMahon

Join local author and outdoor educator Jill McMahon for a lively in-store talk celebrating the joy of exploring New England on foot and four paws. Jill will share stories and insights from her newest book, Dog Hiking New England, a beautifully illustrated guide to dog-friendly adventures that range from shady woodland paths and peaceful pond loops to rugged coastal trails shaped by wind and tide. These destinations highlight what makes the region special: close-to-home access, rich natural variety, and trails that invite you to slow down and savor the journey with your dog. Jill will also touch on her earlier guide, Southern Maine Trails: A Guide to 100 Hikes for Any Season, Any Age, Any Ability, which showcases inclusive, year-round hikes through hemlock forests, past waterfalls, and along rocky shorelines. This event will leave you inspired to lace up your boots, grab the leash, and explore familiar landscapes in a new way. After the talk, guests are invited to meet Jill, get books signed, swap trail recommendations, and enter a raffle. Copies of Dog Hiking New England will be available for purchase.
