Notes
According to a survey from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, 96 million Americans are bird watchers, or 37 percent of the population aged 16 and above. Because birding requires little gear, and can be done almost anywhere, it’s a great activity whether in your backyard, the woods or our Connecticut shoreline. In this class we will cover everything from how to get started to essential equipment you will need. You will also learn tips for identifying birds, the best locations and how to get in touch with fellow birders (ie local bird clubs, outings and bird walks). Speakers will be from the Connecticut Audubon Society’s Coastal Center at Milford Point Join us for this fun and informative session!
