Got an old bike at home that's collecting dust? Join us for a community bike drive at your local REI! We're teaming up to collect used bikes—working or not—and give them a second life. Donated bikes will be refurbished and distributed to individuals in need, helping expand access to bike transportation in our communities. Stop by your local REI today to donate and make a difference!
Notes
Please note donation guidelines from Sharing Wheels: Bikes we NEVER take “Department store bike” brands: Like Magna, Roadmaster, Huffy, Hyper, modern Mongoose, modern Schwinn, etc. Broken or bent frames: Unless there are quality parts ON it that are in good working condition and worth saving, ex: Deore, XTR, 105, Ultegra, Dura-Ace, Sram Eagle (all levels), Campagniolo, Mavic, Thomson, TRP, etc. Suspension components from brands like Rockshox, DVO, and Fox are also salvageable on bent/damaged frames but MUST be in immediate and verifiable good working condition due to the complexity of repair and service kit availability for these components as they age. Rusted bikes: Rust can’t be fixed. Very minimal rust on otherwise quality bicycles is acceptable. Example: Rust only on the chain, very minimal rust on the handlebars, a couple rusty bolts, etc. E-bikes: We are NOT equipped to handle e-bikes.
