Our journey will lead us through lush forest to an enchanting campsite along the North Fork of the Skokomish River. Hone your skills during your back-country stay: learn what to bring, how to manage water, what goes into an effective camp set-up, practice Leave No Trace principles, and many other tips to set you up for success on trips of your own. This course is perfect for intermediate hikers and was designed with new backpackers in mind. You should be prepared to hike 5 miles each day with 1,400 ft of elevation gain on day 1. On day 2 you'll be rewarded for your efforts with a long downhill. The best part about this trip?
