This overnight adventure travels along the beautiful, spring-fed waters of the Llano River. We'll follow this winding river over gentle rapids and narrow turns as we cover 7 miles on Day 1. After a full afternoon of paddling, we'll pull onto the shores of this majestic river to set up camp for the night and bask in the night sky away from any city lights. We'll camp at a state park campsite with great amenities. After a restful night's sleep, we will wake up for a morning hike through the state park to enjoy the scenery while looking out for turkeys and other natural wildlife. Ideal for those with some previous kayaking experience, but everyone is welcome. You can hone your kayaking skills while exploring the river's most idyllic hidden nooks on the first day, then stretch your legs the next day on a hike at South Llano River State Park. Learn all about the surrounding ecosystem, and maybe even catch a glimpse of red tailed hawk. The best thing about this tour? We do all the planning and packing-- kayaking gear, camping gear, dinner, and breakfast are all provided. All you need to bring is a personal sleeping bag. We can't wait to paddle with you!
