Are you ready to travel in bear country? Join REI to learn the basics of bear canisters and bear bags, and when and where to use them. You'll get a hands-on chance to practice bear bag hanging skills, and learn bear awareness to keep your food (and your campsite) bear free. These skills will protect your food from many other small creatures, and ensure you don't wake up with any unwanted, furry visitors. No prior experience necessary.
Notes
Since the store will not yet be open, a manager will meet you at the front door just before the start time. The store opens for business at 10am, immediately following the class, but we wanted you to have uninterrupted time with the instructor.
