Whether you’re planning your first hike or looking to go farther, this class covers the essentials to help you prepare, pack, and move through the outdoors with purpose. You’ll learn how to choose the right gear, plan a safe and responsible trip, and pack efficiently—so you can spend less time second-guessing and more time enjoying the fresh air, changing landscapes, and the freedom to go further.

Go hiking with confidence and experience the outdoors in new ways! Whether you're preparing to go out for the first time or looking to update your hiking gear, this presentation is for anyone who enjoys time on the trail. Participants will learn how to best prepare for a day hike, including what items to pack, where to explore local trails, and how to practice Leave No Trace principles.
