REI Employees Vote Against Unionization in San Diego Store Rerun Election

Today, eligible employees at REI Co-op’s San Diego store participated in a National Labor Relations Board-supervised rerun election and voted to not be represented by the United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW). The National Labor Relations Board is working to certify the results. 

We are pleased with this result. It reflects the San Diego team’s decision to continue engaging directly with REI, as we have long done with our employees. Listening to one another and addressing concerns openly helps us stay focused on serving our members and advancing our mission to connect more people to the outdoors. We appreciate every employee who participated in this important process and respect each person’s right to make their own decision about union representation.
