REI Co-op Supports Flood Recovery Efforts in Nepal Through the Intrepid Foundation

REI Co-op is supporting relief and recovery efforts in Nepal following catastrophic flooding that devastated communities across Timure, Rasuwagadhi and Syabrubesi, as well as communities along the Trishuli River corridor.

The flooding has caused significant loss of life and widespread damage to homes, businesses, roads and critical infrastructure, leaving communities facing a long and difficult recovery.

Through a contribution to The Intrepid Foundation's Nepal Flood Appeal, REI is helping support relief and recovery efforts delivered in partnership with Australian Red Cross and organizations working alongside affected communities. The Intrepid Foundation is the nonprofit arm of Intrepid Travel, REI's adventure travel partner.

Nepal has long held a meaningful place within the outdoor community and in REI's history. Following the devastating 2015 earthquake, the co-op supported recovery efforts and shared stories of the resilience demonstrated by Nepal's people and communities in the years that followed.
