Have you ever wondered what birding is all about? Join us as we explore the excitement of birdwatching and the beauty of the natural world. You'll learn about the different styles of birding, how to get started, and what makes this hobby such a rewarding adventure. We'll also highlight some of the top birding hotspots in Central Florida. No matter the season, there's always something to see. In summer, watch the skies for graceful Swallow-tailed Kites and scan the wetlands for elusive Least Bitterns. During spring and fall, migratory warblers and shorebirds make their way through the region. Year-round, Fulvous and Black-bellied Whistling Ducks are local favorites, while winter brings a variety of waterfowl like Lesser Scaup, Blue-winged Teal, Ring-necked Ducks, and Ruddy Ducks to the lakes and marshes. Discover the best birding sites in Central Florida, the gear you'll need, and the different ways people enjoy birding around the world. Whether you're a beginner or just bird-curious, this is your guide to getting started with one of nature’s most captivating pastimes.
